Under-15s thrash rivals 8-0 in Paulista opener; Under-17s win 3-0

São Paulo’s U-15 and U-17 teams got off to a winning start in the Paulista Championship this Saturday (2) at CFA Laudo Natel in Cotia. The U-15 side handed Referência an 8-0 thrashing, while the U-17s won 3-0.

In the first match of the day, the U-15s were dominant from the start. In the very first minute, Yahgo opened the scoring with a header. In the fifth minute, Luisinho made a great run down the right and crossed for Lucas Jorge to double the lead. Juninho made it 3-0 in the 16th minute after a nice passing move, and in the 31st, Luisinho struck a superb long-range shot to make it four before halftime.

In the second half, Tricolor kept up the pace. Luisinho scored again from the penalty spot in the fifth minute. Lucas Jorge netted the sixth in the 10th after an assist from Victor Israel. Victor himself added the seventh in the 16th following a brilliant individual play, and Kléber, who had just come on, completed the rout in the 20th with a finish into the top corner.

Next, the U-17s also delivered a solid performance. In the eighth minute of the first half, Kelvin opened the scoring after a corner taken by Nícolas Pereira. Before halftime, Robert and Kauã Daniel both hit the crossbar.

In the second half, Luan doubled the lead with a stunning free-kick in the eighth minute. Then, in the 27th, Carlos beat his marker, surged forward with space, and finished with class to put the final score on the match.

The teams return to the field next Saturday (9), away from home, against Real Soccer at Walter Ribeiro Stadium in Sorocaba (SP). The U-15 match kicks off at 9 a.m., and the U-17s take the field at 11 a.m.
