FC Porto set off on Tuesday for the Algarve for a short training camp that runs until Friday, finishing with a behind-closed-doors friendly against II Liga side Farense.

According to O Jogo, Francesco Farioli will oversee all sessions at Quinta do Lago in Almancil, away from the public and the media.

The squad is bolstered by four Under-17 world champions, Martim Chelmik, Bernardo Lima, Mateus Mide and Duarte Cunha. Bernardo Lima has featured for Porto’s B and under-19 teams.

Yoan Pereira, another member of the title-winning group, is absent after sustaining an injury last month on his B-team debut against Felgueiras.

Players’ families are also travelling with the squad to strengthen team bonds while easing any homesickness.
