Under-17s beat Red Bull Bragantino in the Brazilian Championship

São Paulo’s U-17 team defeated Red Bull Bragantino 3-0 this Wednesday at Bruno José Daniel Stadium, in Santo André (SP), in the seventh round of the Brazilian Championship for the category. São Paulo’s goals were scored by Miranda, Brenno, and Kauã Daniel.

With the result, Tricolor earned its first win in the competition and moved up to eight points.

The first half was marked by Tricolor’s clear dominance in attack. In the 16th minute, number 10 Robert tried a long-range shot from outside the box and forced the opposing goalkeeper into a good save, pushing it out for a corner. From the set piece, Davi Pena delivered the ball perfectly for Miranda, who rose above the defense and opened the scoring with a header. São Paulo kept pressing and doubled the lead in the 27th minute. In another assist from Davi Pena, this time from a free kick, number 7 found center forward Brenno, who headed firmly to score the second goal. In the 34th minute, Zabarelli won the ball back in the attacking half, drove to the edge of the box, and shot dangerously, but the opposing goalkeeper made the save and prevented the third goal.

In the second half, Tricolor kept control of the match and scored the third goal in the 19th minute. After winning back possession in the attacking half, the team found Robert, who once again tried his luck from long range. The goalkeeper pushed it out for another corner and, from the delivery, Davi Pena sent the ball into the box. Aguilar glanced it on with a header, and Kauã Daniel appeared to finish it off, also with a header, to score the team’s third goal. Tricolor’s pressure continued. In the 27th minute, João Bispo received the ball on the right wing and hit a powerful shot, but the goalkeeper saved it and sent it out for yet another corner.

The team returns to the field next Tuesday (14), when it will face Vitória at 3 p.m. at CT Manoel Barradas, in Salvador (BA), in the eighth round of the Brazilian Championship.
