Under-20 player signs professional deal with Corinthians until end of 2028

Corinthians continues to restructure its youth divisions, dismissing staff, releasing athletes, and renewing contracts with names considered important for the new cycle. The latest contract extension was for Jonathan, who signed professionally until the end of 2028, even though he has appeared only a few times for the under-20 team.

Central do Timão has learned that the player's international release clause is 50 million euros (over R$ 300 million). At 17 years old upon his arrival, he immediately joined the under-18 team, where he stood out in the category. He was promoted to the under-20s in August, when he played two matches in the Paulistão Sub-20, but did not have a run of games. Now, he has been training with the squad led by William Batista.

Corinthians has not yet released the list of players registered for the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, which starts next January 2. No names have been confirmed by the coaching staff, who are using training matches and daily activities to decide the 30 selected players.

Corinthians’ debut will only take place on January 3, against Trindado-GO, at Zezinho Magalhães Stadium. The Timãozinho’s base for the first phase is the city of Jaú, where they will also face Luverdense and XV de Jaú, the home team.
