Bild reports that Borussia Dortmund striker Fabio Silva is still pushing for a move away in January due to being unhappy with his playing time.

It is clear that the 23-year-old wants to play at the World Cup with Portugal, who have been drawn in a group with Colombia, Uzbekistan and a playoff winner, but his lack of playing time since joining from Wolves may be a problem.

Portugal head coach Roberto Martinez made it clear to Silva that playing time will be important if he wants to be in the 26-man squad next summer.

Silva is said to be still pushing for a move away from Dortmund in the winter, with his management exploring different options; however, the most likely possibility could be a loan move, however. They have blocked any progress at the Signal Iduna Park

LaLiga side Real Betis have been linked to Silva recently. Spain is where the striker had the best spell of his career when on loan at Las Palmas.

Silva’s lack of playing time at Dortmund:

Since joining from Wolves for €22.5m in the summer as a backup option for Serhou Guirassy, Silva has only played 225 minutes of football across three competitions and has not started a Bundesliga game.

Guirassy has struggled for form this season; however, head coach Niko Kovac has continued to back the Guinean despite his lack of goalscoring, instead of turning to Silva, who has shown flashes of his quality during his cameos.
