Some interesting news came to light yesterday when it was revealed on Sky Sports that theRangers have the best surface in the country although it’s debatable if there’s any sort of truth behind it.
Anyway it’s only fair the best players in the country get the best turf to strut their stuff on, well according to the deluded bears that’s what their favourites are.
Best goalkeeper, best defender, best midfielder, best winger, best striker, best kit man, best tannoy announcer, best programme sellers etc, you get the picture. Everything and everyone connected to Ibrox is the best, they are the benchmark according to those who follow theRangers. No one comes close, they are simply the best, better than all the rest as Celtic new Glasgow Derby tune goes. Well in mens football anyway.
That got me thinking and it’s got me well and truly stumped. How can a club have the best of everything – best breakfasts too, remember that one? – from top to bottom and yet still continue to be second best on a regular basis. It’s just a hunch, but maybe just maybe it’s because they aren’t as good as they are led to believe?

Trying to think of one thing they’re not best at is a struggle, best I could come up with is they don’t have the best alarm clocks with around 20,000 sleeping in yesterday morning and missing the early kick-off against Aberdeen. Best blue seats I suppose, Sky Sports viewers got a great look at them yesterday as Barry Ferguson, brought in to eat away at Celtic’s 13 points advantage got his first win at Ibrox as manager of theRangers and in doing s reduced Celtics 20 points lead to just 17.
Best long lie, best interim manager.

Incidentally that Souness banner from last weekend’s Glasgow Derby is in serious danger of shooting theRangers in the foot regarding their prospects of doing a deal with those American investors. The Onion Bears were NOT for backing down on their right of bigotry as they believe it’s their culture. Not sure the Yanks will agree.
Best at shooting yourself in the foot would be rather amusing.
