Union Berlin have reached an agreement to sign Pisa SC midfielder Michel Aebischer, according to Sky Germany.

Union have agreed personal terms with the Swiss international and the transfer is expected to be completed soon.

The deal is understood to be worth €3.5 million plus potential bonuses.

Aebischer, 29, joined Pisa from Bologna last summer.

He is a versatile midfielder and has made 44 senior appearances for Switzerland.
