Dundee United beat Kilmarnock 4-0 at Rugby Park to rise from 11th to sixth in the Scottish Premiership after a ruthless first half.

In the 12th minute, Emmanuel Agyei glanced in a header from Mehdi Merghem's corner to set the tone.

Jack Walton denied Joe Hugill early on and later Tyreece John-Jules, while Kilmarnock lost Robbie Deas to injury (19.).

Michael Forbes won a penalty (35.). Zachary Sapsford converted from the spot into the bottom right (36.).

Will Ferry then drilled in from outside the box after a Merghem pass (41.).

After the restart, substitute Jesse Randall arrived to meet Ferry's cross and finished high at the near post (77.) to cap the win.

The Arabs registered eight shots on target from 21 attempts, showing a clinical edge. Kilmarnock produced 16 attempts but lacked a cutting finish.
