Jaydon Banel settled it in the 88th minute with a low finish, giving Derby County a 3-2 win at Queens Park Rangers.

The substitute broke from the left and guided his shot into the bottom corner after Matthew Clarke's headed pass, turning a tense finale decisively Derby's way.

He almost had a second in the first minute of second half stoppage time, lifting a left-footed effort over from outside the box as space opened up again on that flank.

In 29 minutes Banel produced two attempts, completed two dribbles and won possession three times, giving Derby direct running and penalty area threat just when they needed it.

His willingness to attack the full-back channel kept the Rams on the front foot late on and stretched Queens Park Rangers' defensive shape.
