Arsenal swatted aside Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium to book their place in the quarter-final of the League Cup.
Arsenal made light work of the visitors with goals from Ethan Nwaneri and Bukayo Saka seeing the Gunners through to the final eight.
The North London giants won 2-0, keeping another clean sheet to continue their fantastic start to the 2025/26 season.
According to Opta, Arsenal are the first English top-flight team in history to play six games in a month and win them all without conceding a single goal.
This incredible record is one that everyone at the club should be proud of. The month has been perfect for Arsenal from back to front.
Mikel Arteta’s side started with a pair of 2-0 wins against Olympiacos in the Champions League opener and versus a hapless West Ham United side in the Premier League.
Fulham proved stern opposition, but the Gunners still scaled through the challenge at Craven Cottage.
Next up was Atletico Madrid, arguably the biggest test of the run, but the Premier League giants easily dispatched the La Liga side, claiming a 4-0 win.
They also secured a victory against Crystal Palace in the league to maintain their lead atop the league table.
After finishing runners-up in the Premier League for three consecutive seasons, Arsenal now sit top of the table and look every inch like favourites to finally get over the line.
Arteta’s men are playing with authority, balance and a cutting edge that suggests lessons from past heartbreaks have been well learned.
Alongside the Premier League charge, the League Cup should not be overlooked.
Winning that first piece of silverware around February or March could inject the belief and momentum Arsenal need to sustain their title push through the spring.
The competition presents a golden chance for Arteta to blend fringe players with regulars while maintaining the winning culture he has built.
Lift the League Cup for the first time since 1993, and it could become the springboard that finally powers Arsenal to Premier League glory come May.
