Bayern Munich are hopeful of extending Dayot Upamecano’s contract beyond the summer of 2026 but face competition from some of Europe’s top clubs.

Real Madrid have been mentioned as a potential destination. However, while Upamecano is reportedly open to a move to the Spanish capital, he is not the club’s top defensive target, according to Marca.

Instead, Real would reportedly prefer signing Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konaté, who is also out of contract at the end of the season.

Crystal Palace’s Marc Guéhi, currently on course to become a free agent too, is another alternative.

Meanwhile, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester United are all reportedly keeping a close eye on Upamecano’s situation.
