UPDATE: Leroy Sané - what does the future hold for him? | OneFootball

Leroy Sané has opnely stated over the course of the season that he would like to stay at Bayern Munich - it turns out however, that he only wants to stay if his contract fits his view of things.

His sudden agency change to star agent Pini Zahavi was a clear sign to the Bayern officials, that he demands a little bit more money than Bayern would like to pay him - so far at least.

Zahavi was in Munich today to discuss new details about Sané's contract and a possible future in Munich - the ending however, led to no new conclusions:

“No news. It was a nice dinner, but I have no news for you. I can't speak about it [how long it will take].”

Max Eberl was also not a man of many words coming out of the meeting with Pini Zahavi; his only response was “Jona!”, pointing to a close agreement with Jonathan Tah, who could be reveiled as a new Bayern player any given day now.

So what are Sané's options? Here is a little breakdown of all the clubs and places where we could see the 29-year-old play next season:

Option 1: Bayern Munich

The first option for Leroy Sané is that him and Bayern Munich come to an agreement over a new contract for next season. Bayern's current offer to Sané includes a salary of €10 million plus additional payments in the region of €5 million. As of now it is unclear, whether Sané will agree to such an offer or if he is willing to leave Bayern, if they don't up the numbers. While a decision has not been made yet, further talks are planned between the two parties.

Option 2: Galatasaray Istanbul

Definetly a surprise candidate, Galatasaray would love to continue their streak of signing players who are typically far off of their usual transfer targets. After signing Napoli's Victor Osimhen on loan last season, everything seems to be possible for the Turkish giants. The Galatasaray officials are in love with the idea of bringing in Sané - he however, has often stated that he wants to stay in Europe's top leagues, which would exclude the Turkish league.

Option 3: Napoli

The champions of Italy are reportedly very interested in signing Leroy Sané. Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis reportedly wants to use a potential signing of Leroy Sané as an argument to convince Antonio Conte to stay at the club. Negotiations between Napoli and Sané are underway, according to “Gazzetta della Sport” in Italy.

Option 4: Tottenham Hotspur

Another club to win a trophy this season: the newest Europa League champions are keeping a keen eye on Sané and his contract discussions with Bayern. They are reported to being the English club showing the most interest in Sané - and he is very interested in a switch to the Premier League, where he has already played in for Manchester City. Sané spends a lot of his private time in London, he and his wife love the city and would love to live there someday. Tottenham has become an attractive destination, since they've qualified for the Champions League.
