The United States took down Paraguay in an international friendly Saturday evening, marked notably by the return of Gio Reyna to the national team fold.

Scorers: Reyna 4', Balogun 71' ; Arce 10'
It was a full house in Philadelphia to see Mauricio Pochettino's side take on the South American outfit.
And the crowd was treated to a rare site in the opening five minutes as Gio Reyna marked his long-awaited return to the team with a superb headed goal after getting on the end of a Max Arfsten cross.
But the United States joy was short-lived when Alex Arce leveled the score for Paraguay just six minutes later thanks to some poor U.S. defending. It was Arce's first goal for his country.
And while it looked like the match would fizzle out in a stalemate, Reyna had one more part to play, getting himself into a dangerous position to send the ball into the box, which was eventually slotted home by red-hot Folarin Balogun.
According to Opta, the Monaco striker became just the the fifth USMNT player to have multiple streaks of four or more starts with a goal contribution in the last fifty years.
Stoppage-time was marked by major scuffle between the two sides after a coming together just in front of the benches, seeing a member of the Paraguay coaching staff sent off.
Nonetheless, the U.S. collected the victory, their third in the last three matches as they continue to pick up steam under Mauricio Pochettino.
