UWCL: Juventus beat Häcken 3-0 to leave Swedish side without a point | OneFootball

Tatiana Pinto, Emma Stølen Godø and Alba Redondo scored as Juventus beat Häcken 3–0 in the UEFA Women’s Champions League in Gothenburg on Wednesday, leaving the Swedish side without a point from their first two league phase games.

Häcken, who beat Norrköping 6–0 in the Swedish league at the weekend, had eight first half shots to Juventus’ five. Maja Bodin found the near corner early on, but her effort was ruled out for offside. Juventus kept probing down the flanks without finding a breakthrough, and the sides went in level at half-time.

Pinto broke the deadlock in the 57th minute after Amaiur Sarriegi created the chance with a move through the centre. It was Juventus’ 100th goal in the competition.

Godø doubled Juventus’ lead in the 76th minute, finishing from Eva Schatzer’s free-kick delivery. The goal was confirmed after a VAR check for offside.

Häcken continued to find openings, with Anna Anvegård hitting the bar late on, but could not find a way past Juventus goalkeeper Daniëlle de Jong.

Redondo completed the scoring in the 88th minute, running clear after Júlia Bartel’s touch.

Before the trip to Sweden, Redondo had said ‘the moment is now‘ as she discussed rediscovering her best form at Juventus.

Häcken face Paris FC next in the competition, while Juventus play Austria Vienna.
