Valencia marked their first LaLiga victory at Mendizorroza by belting out Leiva’s 'Como si fueras a morir mañana' in the dressing room after the match.

According to Superdeporte, Valencia won thanks to a second half strike from Luis Rioja, a result that lifted them out of the relegation zone.

Interim coach Óscar Sánchez revealed the song choice in his post-match press conference, responding with humour when asked about the noise from the mixed zone. He said it showed his players knew their music.

The track, written by Leiva, whose full name is José Miguel Conejo Torres, was released in 2019 and features on his album 'Nuclear'.

The celebrations followed a morale-boosting three points at the Vitoria ground, and the squad’s chorus echoed down the corridor.
