A group of 20 former players, including Ricardo Costa and Antonio Barragán, accompanied by the Director of the RFEF National School of Coaches, David Gutiérrez, had the opportunity to take part in training sessions with the Valencia CF head coach, Carlos Corberán, the Sporting Director, Miguel Ángel Corona, as well as the VCF Academy Director, Luis Martínez, and the VCF Academy Technical Coordinator, Urko Cherta.

“It has been a pleasure to come back to the Ciudad Deportiva; I hadn’t been here since I left Valencia CF,” said Antonio Barragán, who played for Valencia CF for five seasons.

“It has been a privilege to visit a Club like Valencia CF and to have both the coach, Carlos Corberán, and the VCF Academy coaches share how they work. They do a great job, and many players are reaching the first team. The fact that they share all their work with us helps us grow in this UEFA PRO training we are doing,” he concluded.

“They showed us how Valencia CF lives and breathes, relying on young players who grow and dream of reaching the first team, working in facilities with phenomenal conditions,” highlighted former player Ricardo Costa.

The Portuguese centre-back also expressed his gratitude for the training session with Carlos Corberán: “He’s clearly a coach with great ability, someone who lives and understands football, and we are very grateful for the time he dedicated to us.”
