La Liga rivals Valencia and Real Sociedad are expected to tie up an imminent transfer agreement.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing journalist Héctor Gómez, who points towards Umar Sadiq as the player at the heart of the negotiations between the clubs.
Frontman Sadiq has for his part endured a difficult season at Aneota to date.
Struggling for game-time owing to a combination of fitness woes and competition for places, the Nigerian has featured from the off in just two of Real Sociedad’s 18 league outings.
Speculation, in turn, has long been doing the rounds that Sadiq is being lined up for a mid-season loan transfer.
And, as alluded to above, if the latest word to have surfaced on the situation on Thursday is anything to go by, then the attacker’s destination now looks all but decided.
As per MD:
‘The club chosen by the Real Sociedad ’19’ is Valencia. The Kaduna native and the Valencian team have a loan agreement closed, although before that the African striker must “pass an exhaustive examination”.’
