Valencia confirm Lucas Beltrán out to face Rayo Vallecano, Thierry Rendall back

Valencia will be without Lucas Beltrán for Thursday’s meeting with Rayo Vallecano.

According to Superdeporte, the attacking midfielder tested himself in a bid to feature at San Mamés but did not make it, and persistent knee pain means he will again miss out.

In his pre-match press conference at the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna, Carlos Corberán said Beltrán remains out with discomfort, and that Thierry Rendall returns to the squad after two sessions with the group.

Corberán has the bulk of his squad available for the fixture.

The match carries significance for Valencia as they aim to secure survival and set their objectives for the final two games of the campaign.
