Valencia dismiss head of medical services Pedro López Mateu

Valencia have parted company with head of medical services Pedro López Mateu.

The club said in a statement that it has ended its professional relationship with the doctor.

López Mateu joined in November 2019 after more than 20 years in sports medicine. He has overseen the medical area since his arrival.

His remit included the care and monitoring of players from the men’s first team, the women’s first team and the Academia VCF.

Valencia thanked López Mateu for his dedication and professionalism and wished him well in his future career.
