Valencia sit only three points above the drop after losing to Elche, with the head-to-head against them also lost. The mood around the club is one of weariness. According to AS, supporters voiced that frustration outside the Martínez Valero as the team departed.

The loudest jeers were directed at Carlos Corberán, with calls for him to resign. Ron Gourlay was confronted as he boarded the coach, and captain José Luis Gayà also drew heavy criticism. Javi Guerra, who did not play, was targeted too.

Only three players received applause, Guido Rodríguez, Eray Cömert and Largie Ramazani. None are under contract for next season, and fans urged Guido to stay, though his future remains uncertain.

The club have made approaches over a renewal, but he signed only a six-month deal that runs to 30 June.

Cömert’s case is on hold, the Swiss and the club will revisit it at season’s end, and his agents are weighing several offers.

Ramazani’s situation is different and he also has few options to remain. He is on loan from Leeds, and ending the agreement was considered in January. His form has improved lately, but with no purchase option any extension would require a new loan, and Leeds have the final say.
