Benfica are open to moving Enzo Barrenechea on in this summer window, with a permanent exit preferred after his role diminished from January. According to Glorioso 1904, the club will listen to offers for the Argentine midfielder.

Valencia are tracking the situation and have shown interest in a deal. The Spanish side’s valuation and proposed terms are said to fall short of the demands set by the Rui Costa-led hierarchy.

Benfica are not entertaining a loan, with the intention being a definitive transfer that helps recoup the outlay made to sign him from Aston Villa. The target fee is around 15 million, a figure that has not yet aligned with Valencias stance.

Despite losing ground in the second half of the season, Barrenechea still delivered volume for the Eagles in 2025/26. He featured in 43 matches across Liga Portugal, the Champions League, Taa de Portugal, Taa da Liga and the Supertaa.

Across 2,967 minutes, he scored two goals and provided one assist, remaining a frequent midfield option for much of the campaign.
