Sadiq starred and won the penalty, Ramazani converted at the second attempt as Valencia found their spark against Osasuna at Mestalla. Goalkeeper Dimitrievski had little to do before the break.
As reported by AS, Dimitrievski was involved mostly in build-up play. Thierry was jittery early, then steadied and saw out the match. Unai partnered Cömert, comfortable before half-time and alert after it to cut out danger.
Gayà was solid at the back but quiet going forward and did not finish. He entered the area too soon as Ramazani prepared to take the penalty, so the kick was retaken.
Guido grew into the contest, showing his experience without always finding the right pass. Ugrinic kept things tidy, aiding Guido and Javi Guerra, then departed with discomfort.
Javi Guerra started brightly, faded, then reasserted control in the second half to lead the midfield.
Ramazani was Valencia’s livewire, direct and fearless, and he converted from the spot twice before departing to a warm ovation. Luis Rioja was lively but squandered a fine chance and was withdrawn 10 minutes into the second half. Sadiq was the standout, heavily involved and the architect of the penalty.
From the bench, Danjuma’s introduction coincided with the goal, and he worked hard defensively as Osasuna pressed. Jesús Vázquez strengthened the left flank and Valencia remained secure with him on.
Tárrega came on to form a back three as the visitors threw men forward. Hugo Duro and Diego López appeared in stoppage time.
