Valencia ratings, Cömert and Ramazani ready for battle

Valencia’s player ratings spotlight Cömert’s standout display at both ends and a late, composed penalty from Ramazani, with Beltrán pulling strings between the lines.

According to AS, Dimitrievski was assured when called upon, alert to balls in behind and unfortunate as a ricochet between Pepelu and Copete left him out of one action. Foulquier struggled down the right and Espanyol exploited that channel. Copete’s improvement was clear, while Vázquez covered Gayà solidly and chose his moments to advance.

Cömert delivered his best performance for Valencia, dominant aerially, in sync with Copete and capping it with a fine header after starting the move from deep. Danjuma supplied a classic winger’s burst and left-footed cross for that goal and tested defenders with right-foot efforts.

Pepelu anchored midfield well and helped build play before tiring, though Espanyol’s second deflected in off him. Ugrinic is knitting play with Pepelu and growing after injuries, while Rioja worked diligently on the flank. All positive signs for Corberán.

Beltrán thrives off a striker, cleverly fashioning Valencia’s first with a turn and precise pass for Hugo Duro, who ran in behind, evaded the keeper and finished. In the final action he outwitted a defender to win a clear, avoidable penalty, converted coolly by Ramazani, who was lively throughout. From the bench, Sadiq occupied defenders, Diego López had little impact, Javi Guerra grafted and Santamaría added balance.
