Valencia seal loan for Kayne van Oevelen from Ipswich | OneFootball

Stole Dimitrievski now has competition after Valencia sealed the loan signing of Kayne van Oevelen from Ipswich until the end of the season on Tuesday.

The club expect the 22-year-old to arrive in Valencia on Wednesday. If all goes to plan, he could train under Carlos Corberán on Thursday and be available for the meeting with Celta. Cope Valencia first reported the agreement.

The move brings relief for Corberán, with Valencia seeking to settle a troublesome position all summer. Van Oevelen has long been their first-choice target.

Valencia were unable to compete to buy the Dutch goalkeeper outright early in the window, as Ipswich completed a permanent deal for him from Volendam. Ipswich have now opted to send him out to gain minutes, and Valencia will pay a fee for the loan.

Once Van Oevelen lands, Valencia plan for Vicent Abril to join Nàstic and for Cristian Rivero to act as third goalkeeper. Raúl Jiménez will work with the first team but feature for Valencia Mestalla.
