Valencia have flown to San Sebastián for Sunday’s 19:00 kick-off at Anoeta against Real Sociedad, a match that could certify their LaLiga survival. According to Superdeporte, Carlos Corberán’s team control their fate on matchday 37 and could still stay up even with defeat if rivals falter.

Corberán said the side arrive in need and injuries continue to shape his squad. Full-backs José Luis Gayà and Renzo Saravia picked up muscle problems against Rayo Vallecano and will not play again this season.

Attacking midfielder Lucas Beltrán trained partly with the group in a late push to be involved, but persistent knee pain meant he did not travel on Saturday from Manises. Despite his injury, Gayà has joined the trip to back the group in San Sebastián.

Long-term absentees Dimitri Foulquier, Mouctar Diakhaby and José Copete remain out. To cover gaps, the staff have turned to the academy with call-ups for Iranzo, David Otorbi and left-back Marcos Navarro, formerly of Levante.

Valencia’s squad for Anoeta includes goalkeepers Julen Agirrezabala, Stole Dimitrievski and Cristian Rivero, defenders César Tárrega, Unai Núñez, Eray Cömert, Jesús Vázquez, Marcos Navarro, Iranzo and Thierry Rendall, midfielders Javi Guerra, Pepelu, André Almeida, Filip Ugrinic, Guido Rodríguez and Baptiste Santamaría, and forwards Arnaut Danjuma, Diego López, Largie Ramazani, Luis Rioja, Hugo Duro, Dani Raba, David Otorbi and Umar Sadiq. The aim is to improve on Thursday’s display against Rayo and reprise the away form shown in Bilbao, when Sadiq struck the winner.
