Valencia host Osasuna on Sunday with injuries still biting and Corberán retaining doubts over his XI. According to Superdeporte, recent setbacks for Foulquier and Copete have left the back line down to three centre-backs.
Cömert and Tárrega have only just returned to fitness, while winter arrival Unai Núñez has played more often as an emergency right-back.
Through the week, Diego López has stepped up his training, but Lucas Beltrán has not. Diego López is available for Mestalla, whereas the Argentine has yet to rejoin full sessions three days before the game.
Beltrán had been among Valencia’s form attackers, central to Corberán’s plan to break lines with runs from outside the box and well-judged forward passes.
For Sunday, Corberán could yet regain an important option for rotation, although that remains uncertain. To bolster numbers in training, he again called on B team players Fontanet, Otorbi and Aarón Mayol, a holding midfielder he is monitoring closely.
