It seems that things don't always go the way young stars would like them to, especially in the senior team, of course every young star in a big team like Barcelona would love to prove himself and have a key role in the first team, but not every time the winds are blowing in the right direction.

Last season, Barcelona signed 23-year-old Spanish star Pau Victor from Girona but he failed to take his chance with Barcelona despite having a good pre-season.

Now that Marcus Rashford has arrived, it's clear that Barcelona will have to let go of some names, and Pau Victor is clearly one of them.

Valencia wants the player any way they can get him

Valencia are reportedly keen on securing the services of Barcelona’s young forward Pau Victor this summer, according to SPORT. The La Liga side is exploring the possibility of a loan deal that would include an option to buy, along with a buy-back clause for Barça—a structure that would allow the Catalan giants to retain some influence over the player’s future.

However, Barcelona’s stance appears firm. During discussions with sporting director Deco, the club emphasized their preference for a permanent transfer rather than a temporary arrangement. They have placed a €10 million valuation on the 23-year-old and are insisting on including a buy-back clause, as well as a percentage of any future sale—a strategy they’ve frequently employed in recent outgoing deals.

These demands have created a stumbling block in negotiations with Valencia, as the two clubs have yet to find common ground. For now, the talks remain at an impasse, with Barcelona unwilling to compromise on their terms for Victor’s departure.
