Valenciennes refer FVS malfunction to FFF after Rouen 1-1 | OneFootball

Valenciennes have referred a Football Video Support malfunction to the FFF after their 1-1 draw at Rouen.

The club said in a statement that it had formally asked the FFF to open an investigation and produce a detailed report into the FVS failure late in the first half, that the initial explanation pointed to an unplugged cable which a simple reconnection would have resolved, and that it was not drawing conclusions but sought precise, documented answers and guarantees to protect officiating technology and competitive fairness.

The match opened the fifth round of Ligue 3 on Thursday. In first-half stoppage time, Rouen were awarded a penalty. A technical problem with FVS prevented a review, so the original decision stood.

Head coach Pierre Blois had sought to challenge the award via FVS before the interval but could not do so. The system was operational again at the start of the second half.

The fifth round of Ligue 3 continues on Saturday with a multiplex at 14:45.
