Value of Julio Enciso’s move from Brighton to Strasbourg revealed | OneFootball

Julio Enciso’s (21) move from Brighton and Hove Albion to RC Strasbourg Alsace was completed in the final hours of the transfer window. L’Équipe have now revealed that Le Racing managed to agree a cut-price deal for the Paraguayan.

The 21-year-old has put pen to paper over a four-year deal with the BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 side. Enciso joined the Seagulls from Libertad in January 2023. He went on to make 57 appearances for the Premier League side, scoring five goals.

However, his time in England was also marred by injuries. The Paraguay international even underwent knee surgery as recently as June, and that almost saw the deal fall through. Strasbourg had agreed a deal with Brighton, worth around €20m, including bonuses.

However, following the initial medical, there was a fresh round of talks. With the deal at risk of falling through, a new agreement worth less than €10m, including bonuses, was agreed, as per L’Équipe.
