Liverpool is going through a tough spell. After yet another 0-3 defeat to Nottingham Forest, captain Virgil van Dijk is calling on his teammates to take responsibility.

For Van Dijk, it’s crucial to back coach Arne Slot:

We have let him down, just as we have let ourselves down. We need to look in the mirror and help each other get out of this situation. As champions, we cannot be in this position. We have to try to turn things around, and that’s the mentality everyone needs to have.

Liverpool have lost eight of their last eleven matches in all competitions and sit 11th in the Premier League, 11 points behind leaders Arsenal after 12 games. Despite this, Fabrizio Romano reports that the club is not considering replacing Slot at the moment:

The owners support Arne Slot. They expect better results, but there are currently no talks about a replacement. The results need to improve, and quickly, especially in the Premier League.
