Benfica are exploring a contract extension for Vangelis Pavlidis.

According to Glorioso 1904, the Greece international, already tied to 2029, is in talks over a two-year add-on and discussions are moving at pace.

The club hierarchy led by Rui Costa aim to reward his outstanding form while reinforcing the contractual protection of a prime asset. Pavlidis has struck 14 goals in 13 appearances this season.

That output builds on the previous two campaigns, when he finished with 30 goals in each. At 27, he appears to have found a sharper scoring stride and is now a key reference in the side.

Interest has followed. Last summer Fenerbahçe lodged an offer of about €40 million, which Rui Costa rejected immediately. Before that, Besiktas proposed roughly €35 million, also turned down.

Clubs from Saudi Arabia also made lucrative approaches, but Benfica held firm. His release clause stands at €100 million.
