Cremonese confirm Jamie Vardy has suffered a minor muscular strain and according to reports in Italy, the English striker may have to wait for one more month before making his Serie A debut with the Grigiorossi.

Cremonese star Vardy could be forced to miss Sunday’s Serie A match against Parma due to a minor muscle injury.

Cremonese confirmed with a statement on Thursday that the 38-year-old had undergone medical tests due to a “minor muscular strain.”

The newly-promoted Serie A side added that “more specific fitness test will be taken ahead of Sunday’s game.”

The latest updates fron SOS Fanta and CremonaSera suggest that Cremonese coach Davide Nicola will likely take a cautious approach and drop Vardy for the upcoming Serie A match.

SOS Fanta claims that Vardy won’t start in any case, and even his presence on the bench is far from certain.

Vardy made his Serie A debut on Monday in an away game at Verona, so the next match with Parma at the Stadio Zini was supposed to be his home debut with Cremonese.

If the Leicester City legend is unavailable against Parma, he’ll have to wait for one more month for the next home game on October 20 against Udinese given that Cremo will visit Como and Inter after the Parma game and before the international break in October.
