According to PaponaColina, Vasco head into 2026 with a sizeable squad blending youth, international know-how and South American recruits, especially Colombians, under Fernando Diniz, aiming to balance immediate performance with asset growth.
Goalkeepers: Allan Vitor, Léo Jardim, Daniel Fuzato, Pablo. Right-backs: Paulinho, Puma Rodríguez, Paulo Henrique. Centre-backs: Robert Renan, Carlos Cuesta, Alan Saldivia, Lucas Freitas, Lyncon. Left-backs: Lucas Piton, Riquelme, Victor Luís.

Forwards: Matheus França, Andrés Gómez, Benjamín Garré, Nuno Moreira, David, Adson, Rayan, GB, Johan Rojas.
Philippe Coutinho ended 2025 as a key reference. At 33, the number 10 played 56 matches, the most of his career, and ranked sixth for Vasco appearances, totalling 4,298 minutes, the squad’s seventh-highest figure.
He delivered 16 goal involvements, 11 goals and five assists, the fourth-best tally in 2025. Fatigue late on saw rests in three Campeonato Brasileiro games, Ceará and Palmeiras in the first round, then Atlético-MG on the final day, with rotation also in the Campeonato Carioca under Fábio Carille.
For 2026, the plan is tighter load management given a World Cup shortened calendar. Léo Jardim is a steady, decisive leader, while Andrés Gómez and Nuno Moreira are viewed as key attacking outlets.
