Vasco announce Rayan renewal until 2028 | OneFootball

Vasco have renewed forward Rayan’s contract until 2028 after the win over Fluminense, the club said in a statement.

Talks had been under way since July and the deal includes a significant salary increase.

The announcement arrived in a video featuring Barreira do Vasco and São Januário. Rayan, the son of former player Valkmar, joined the club at six.

Now 19, he has become a leading figure since Fernando Diniz arrived. He scored 20 goals this season, 17 of them under the coach.

In April, Vasco extended his terms to the end of 2026 as a short-term safeguard to avoid the risk of a free departure and revisit talks after the season. Rayan and his father enjoy a strong relationship with the club.

He progressed through every age group and was promoted in 2023. He became the youngest player of the 21st century to take the field for the club.
