Vasco announce signing of Bruno Duarte on deal to 2028 | OneFootball

The club said on Friday that striker Bruno Duarte, 30, has signed a contract running until the end of 2028. He will wear the number 19 shirt.

He arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday, completed medical tests, then finalised the deal.

Bruno Duarte had been with Estrela Vermelha in Serbia since 2024, scoring 42 goals and providing 14 assists in 98 matches. In that spell he won two Serbian league titles and two Serbian Cups.

He bolsters a department long targeted by Vasco in the market, with the club seeking a number nine amid difficulties converting chances into goals.

Before Estrela Vermelha, he played for Lviv in Ukraine, Vitória de Guimarães and Farense in Portugal, and Damac in Saudi Arabia. His last Brazilian club was Portuguesa in 2018.

Vasco face Cruzeiro on Saturday at 21:20 Brasília time in the Campeonato Brasileiro. The hierarchy are working to register Bruno Duarte quickly, though completing the paperwork in time for the match is likely to be difficult.
