An academy graduate, Rayan became Vasco’s youngest player when he debuted in 2023 aged 16 years, five months and 16 days. He has 25 goals in 99 appearances.

He finished the 2024-25 season on 14 goals in 34 Serie A matches. The striker extended his contract in December to 2028. He has represented Brazil up to under-20 level.

Bournemouth sold leading scorer Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City in January in a £62.5million ($84m) deal. They later brought in 20-year-old midfielder Alex Toth from Ferencvaros. Toth made his debut against Liverpool on Saturday as Bournemouth beat the league champions 3-2 thanks to an injury-time winner from Amine Adli.
