Vasco has lodged a 47-page petition with the fourth Corporate Court of the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice to overturn a ruling that blocked up to R$150 million net in DIP financing, a move seen as vital to liquidity and the season plan.

According to PaponaColina, the filing says Vasco SAF is run properly and contests a demand for an ICTS audit before new credit. With the window closing on 11 September, documents were compiled to hasten approval and avert a cash squeeze.

The petition seeks to free the R$150 million loan via Almirante and scrap the audit precondition. It also aims to validate use of the first R$40 million DIP on payroll, taxes, CNRD/CBF deals and recovery costs, with watchdog and gatekeeper approval, speed the SAF sale against 777 Carioca LLC delays, and fund signings requested by coach Pedro Emanuel.

The document challenges 777 Partners, noting they pursued motions and audit requests while facing insolvency cases abroad. It argues these tactics are intended to disrupt management and postpone the definitive transfer of SAF control.

The filing states that all financial movements face strict oversight by court-appointed administrators, the Public Prosecutor's Office and court-appointed experts, countering claims of mismanagement or misuse.

Club leaders are optimistic about their case. A favourable ruling would restore spending power, enabling additions in defence, midfield and attack, and bolstering the fight against relegation in the Campeonato Brasileiro.
