Vasco da Gama have begun building for 2026, with president Pedrinho plotting a bold move for midfielder Pierre, who played for Fortaleza last season.

According to PaponaColina, the club are monitoring the 23-year-old and exploring a strategy to take him to São Januário, with the player and his representatives receptive to the switch.

The deal is complicated. Pierre is owned by Tombense and spent last season on loan at Fortaleza, who hold a purchase option set at R$ four million for 70 percent of his economic rights.

Pierre joined Fortaleza in August 2025 and quickly earned minutes under head coach Martín Palermo, making 13 appearances and playing 845 minutes. He did not register goals or assists, but his overall contribution drew positive reviews.

Vasco’s hierarchy believe he has room to develop and fits the targeted, low-cost profile they want for the next cycle.
