Vasco name starting XI for Flamengo derby as Renato Portaluppi manages injury absences

Vasco have confirmed their line-up for a Brasileirão clash with Flamengo, according to Coluna Do Fla.

Renato Portaluppi’s starting XI is Léo Jardim, Paulo Henrique, Cuesta, Robert Renan, Lucas Piton, Barros, Thiago Mendes, Rojas, Puma Rodríguez, Brenner and David.

Vasco have three confirmed absences, with left back Cuiabano and midfielders Jair and Mateus Carvalho in the medical department.

The club are in a tricky spell in the league, taking five points from their last five matches. They sit 13th on 16 points, close to the relegation places.

After losing to Corinthians last weekend, Vasco responded by beating Olimpia (PAR) 3-0 at São Januário in the Copa Sudamericana.

The derby is on Sunday, kick-off 16:00 Brasília time at the Maracanã, in the 14th round of the Brasileirão.
