Vasco ‘open talks’ for right-back valued at € eight million in Türkiye | OneFootball

According to _NTVascaínos, Vasco da Gama have opened talks with Trabzonspor over right-back Wagner Pina, a 23-year-old Cape Verde international.

The approach is led by club executive Admar, who has initiated contact with the side from Türkiye. The negotiation is not simple, as Pina is a valued asset with a deal running to 30 June 2029.

His market valuation is estimated at € eight million, about R$ 44 million. With a permanent move at that level difficult, Vasco plan to pursue a loan with an option to buy at the end of the term.

Talks are at an early stage. The club are assessing Trabzonspor’s willingness to release the player, who brings international experience and physical power.

The push for a right-back underlines the board’s focus on addressing Fernando Diniz’s squad needs. They are prepared to look beyond Brazil’s more conventional markets to add immediate competition.
