Vasco are reshaping their foreign contingent in this window. Claudio Spinelli is expected in Rio de Janeiro in the coming days to sign a three-year deal, viewed as Vegetti's replacement after his move to Cerro Porteño.
According to Globo.com, three overseas signings have already arrived, Colombians Johan Rojas and Marino Hinestroza, and Uruguayan Alan Saldivia. All signed in this window.
The squad currently includes seven foreign-born players, the three new arrivals plus Puma Rodríguez, Carlos Cuesta, Andrés Gómez and Nuno Moreira. If Spinelli passes his medical he would become the eighth.
The CBF allows clubs to list up to nine overseas players per match, so one slot remains.
As part of the reshuffle, six foreign players have departed, Jean David of Chile, Vegetti and Sforza of Argentina, Maxime Domínguez of Switzerland, Garré of Argentina and Mauricio Lemos of Uruguay.
Vasco still hold contracts with two of them, Sforza will play for Talleres in 2026 and Garré has joined Aris Salonica until the end of the year. Vegetti has moved permanently to Cerro Porteño on a three-year contract. Maxime Domínguez has been transferred to KS Cracovia of Poland, Jean David terminated his deal at the end of the year, and Mauricio Lemos' contract expired at the end of 2025 without renewal.
