Vasco sign left-back Paulinho on contract to December 2029 | OneFootball

Vasco announced on Saturday the signing of left-back Paulinho from América-MG, the 22-year-old ending his contract with the Minas Gerais club before agreeing a deal in Rio de Janeiro through December 2029.

Vasco had tracked Paulinho since 2025. In February, ge reported the club had lined up a pre-contract while he awaited the end of his América deal.

The new signing expressed delight at joining, highlighting the club’s stature and facilities, and said he hopes to help achieve the team’s objectives this year.

In Rio de Janeiro he will receive a higher salary and swap Série B for Série A.

He began this season as a substitute but featured more regularly as a starter towards the end of the first half of the year. In 2026 he has made 22 appearances, scored three goals and provided two assists.
