Vasco sign Marino Hinestroza for R$30m to replace Rayan | OneFootball

Vasco have confirmed the signing of Colombian forward Marino Hinestroza, 23, from Atlético Nacional on a four-year contract to December 2029, arriving as the immediate replacement for Rayan. It is the club’s third addition for 2026.

According to BolaVip Brasil, Marino produced 10 assists in 55 appearances last season and scored seven goals, while Rayan registered one assist.

Vasco paid around US$ five million, about R$ 30 million, for 80% of his economic rights, overcoming strong interest from Boca Juniors. He has asked to be known simply as Marino, which will appear on his shirt.

He brings a winning profile from Colombia, lifting the league title, the Supercopa and two editions of the Copa Colombia, something that pleased Fernando Diniz. That form also earned call-ups under Néstor Lorenzo and minutes in the qualifiers.

With spells at Pachuca, Columbus Crew and Palmeiras’ academy, Brazilian football is familiar to him and should aid his adaptation. He said he enjoys winning and that supporters can expect a lot from him.

Marino could be available for Vasco’s Brasileirão opener on Thursday, 29, against Mirassol.
