Verbal agreement between Real Madrid and José Mourinho | OneFootball

There is a verbal agreement between Real Madrid and José Mourinho over the Portuguese manager's return to the club according to reports.

Mourinho joined Benfica earlier this season after his dismissal from Fenerbahçe and has remained unbeaten in 30 league games – although his side finished third behind champions Porto and second-place Sporting.

Now, the 63 year old is close to returning to Real Madrid who he managed for three seasons, during which he won one La Liga title and a Copa del Rey.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, there is now a verbal agreement between Madrid and Mourinho for a two-year deal with the appointment expected to be finalised following the final game of the season at home to Athletic Club.

During his first stint with Los Blancos, Mourinho oversaw 178 games in all competitions with a record of 128 wins, 28 draws, and 22 defeats.
