Hellas Verona sporting director Sean Sogliano was unhappy with the attitude from Juventus players and staff members during a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Stadium: ‘If I say what I really think, I’d probably have to stop working.’

Verona held Juventus to a 1-1 draw in Turin on Sunday despite already being relegated to Serie B.

The Gialloblu even took the lead in the first half, but Dusan Vlahovic levelled the score after being introduced as a substitute in the second half.

As usual, Verona director Sogliano followed the match from the touchline alongside Verona reserves and staff members, but the director was sent off for dissent in the very last minute after the referee had awarded a free kick to Juventus.

Safe to say, Sogliano was unhappy with the attitude of the Bianconeri players and staff.

“I was sent off today as well because I saw things I don’t like,” he told Sky Sport via FcInter1908.

“We are talking about culture and the fact that we’re not going to the World Cup. Here it’s always the same story. Even against an already-relegated team, I heard things I don’t want to repeat, because if I say what I really think, I’d probably have to stop working.

“A strong team that complains about the referee when, in a minute, fans would have been putting the ball in the net for them,” Sogliano continued.

“Verona showed pride and earned a point. And if someone gets sent off for losing their temper over certain things, film both benches; then we’ll have something to talk about besides VAR. I’m saying this as someone who’s already been relegated, so nobody really cares. I’m going home with my players and the club because we’re people with pride.”

Today’s draw leaves Juventus in fourth, four points above Roma, who have a game in hand against Fiorentina on Monday.
