Leeds United Under-21s will be looking for a positive ending to their Vertu Trophy campaign this evening as they make the short trip to face Sky Bet League Two outfit Accrington Stanley.

Ahead of the clash with the Reds, Scott Gardner has made five changes to the side that faced Nottingham Forest U21s last time out in the Premier League 2.

After impressing once more on loan at Scunthorpe United, Rory Mahady returns in goal before heading away with Scotland U21s, playing behind a defence of Connor Douglas, Reuben Lopata-White, Louis Enahoro-Marcus and Will Firth.

The midfield trio of skipper Alfie Cresswell, Ollie Pickles and Rhys Chadwick remains unchanged, whilst two alterations to the attacking line see Jacob Render and Josh McDonald partner Harry Gray.

On the bench, Darryl Ombang – himself on the back of a stellar display on loan at Darlington – makes the trip, joined by the returning Coban Bird, Lewis Pirie, Marley Wilson, Devon Brockie and U18s regulars Callum Mills and Logan White.

Starting XI: Mahady (GK), Douglas, Lopata-White, Enahoro-Marcus, Firth, Cresswell (C), Pickles, Chadwick, Render, Gray, McDonald.

Subs: Ombang (GK), Bird, Pirie, Wilson, Brockie, Mills, White.

Accrington: Rogerson (GK), Henderson, Pye, Bauress, Caton, Brown, Martin, Smith, Conneely (C), O'Brien, Woods.

Subs: Wright (GK), Love, Madden, Sinclair, Matthews, Walton.
