Het Laatste Nieuws reports that VfB Stuttgart are among the clubs tracking Genk full-back Zakaria El Ouahdi. The 24-year-old has attracted interest across Europe.

The Antwerp native made his Morocco debut in June 2025 and is drawing attention in England.

Crystal Palace and Everton are said to have made enquiries about him.

A move to Stuttgart could become more realistic in the summer, with the right flank currently well staffed. Pascal Stenzel's contract is expiring, while Leonidas Stergiou is a candidate for a loan and plays only a minor role.

As things stand, that would leave Lorenz Assignon and Josha Vagnoman, who is occasionally needed on the opposite side of defence.

El Ouahdi is under contract with Genk until 2028, so an early release would require a high fee.

Stuttgart recorded a sizeable transfer surplus last summer, so their coffers should still be sufficiently full.
