VfB Stuttgart provide Nartey update after injury on Denmark duty

VfB Stuttgart have provided an update on Nikolas Nartey after the 26-year-old sustained a fresh setback while on Denmark duty.

Nartey was not initially selected, then received a call-up after Patrick Dorgu was injured. The club said he had developed muscular problems and returned early to Stuttgart.

He came on in the 80th minute of Thursday's 4-2 defeat to Portugal, after which the issue arose.

As a result, he missed Sunday's 1-0 win over Wales.

It follows his recent comeback from injury, with Nartey restricted to just 15 minutes of Bundesliga action across two appearances since being hurt in Stuttgart's first game of the 2026/27 season.
