According to Sky Germany, VfB Stuttgart currently regard Cercle Brugge’s Nazinho as too expensive.
The Swabians have explored him as cover for Maximilian Mittelstädt and have held talks with his representatives.
Cercle are demanding a fee of six to eight million euros for the Portuguese under-21 international, who has 22 appearances, three goals and four assists.
Behind Mittelstädt, head coach Sebastian Hoeneß has no recognised left-back. Centre-back Ramon Hendriks is typically the back-up option.
With VfB aiming to compete on several fronts, a summer move for a left-back would make sense. Rumours around Mittelstädt continue, with recent links to Napoli, the defending champions.
