Guglielmo Vicario has penned an emotional farewell to the Tottenham Hotspur supporters following the completion of his transfer to Juventus: ‘Playing in the Premier League for a huge club has always been a dream, good luck for what seems like a very exciting season ahead’.

On Tuesday, Juventus announced that they had completed the signing of Italy international goalkeeper Vicario on an initial season-long loan deal from Tottenham with a non-mandatory option to buy for €8m plus up to €2m in bonuses.

He comes in as a replacement for Michele Di Gregorio, who remains on the club’s books but is no longer part of Luciano Spalletti’s plans following a series of unconvincing performances over the past two seasons.

Vicario has spent the last three seasons with Tottenham in the Premier League, where he made 93 top-flight appearances, 117 across all competitions and picked up a Europa League winner’s medal in 2024-25.

He has recently written a farewell message to the Spurs supporters on his social media profiles, reading: “Dear Spurs fans.. where do I even start ?!

“Thank you is the first word that comes to mind. You made me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived.

“Playing in the Premier League for a huge club has always been a dream and for this reason Tottenham will forever have a special place in my heart and in my memories.

“A big thank you to the club, all the staff and all the teammates I played with in these years.

“Winning the Europe League, together, and seeing the joy we gave our fans is a memory that will never fade away, and something that I will be forever proud of.

“Good luck for what seems like a very exciting season ahead.. and one more time, THANK YOU!”
